Last Day at UVa until December

I'm at work again even though I was trying hard to make Friday my last day. That didn't work out too well. For one thing, the library has a candidate for the director's position interviewing today and I really wanted to see her presentation. For another, my work to-do list sprang back to life over the weekend and I needed to get things done before leaving so it's turning into a full work day. Definitely not what I had intended. At least I'll be able to leave today with some peace of mind.

For the good news though, I got all of the cleaning and packing that I needed to do this weekend. My house sparkles (how often does that happen?) and my two duffel bags are packed with plenty of room to spare. The only thing left is to do a bit more laundry and vacuuming and I'm all done! All of my lists are paying off.

My flight leaves at 5: freaking 30 am tomorrow morning. I'm anticipating absolutely no sleep tonight. I get into San Diego at 12:30 pacific time. I can go to the dock from the airport and immediately board the ship. It boggles the mind that this trip is actually happening. I think I'm still in a state of shock that I'm about to do this voyage.

Time to get back to my to-do list and get things done. Tomorrow - San Diego!
