It's 7:00 am and we are pulling into Qingdao as I type. It is another rainy, yucky day - what is it about pulling into Asian ports and having crappy weather? Apparently, we've been dodging some typhoons in the area and have caught the tail end of the one in China. Rather surprisingly, it hasn't translated into rough seas so the ship hasn't been tossed around anymore than usual. I'll take that as the gift it is!
Most of the students are still asleep since we probably won't be getting off the ship for at least three or four hours. Everyone has adjusted their expectations about getting the ship's documents sorted out in a timely manner so practically everyone is sleeping in. This means that the internet connection is much faster which is such a treat!
My trip to Beijing and Xi'an leaves the ship at 12:45 so I have the morning to double check my lists and what I've packed. Since I'm totally anal about these things, I'm sure I'll be triple and quadruple checking too.
I won't have access to a computer again until we fly to Hong Kong in five days. I promise to take lots of pictures and take notes so that I can faithfully recreate the trip for the blog. See you in five days!
