Between Egypt and Turkey - 5 & 6 November

Everyone had a spectacular time in Egypt. I haven’t heard a single person say anything negative about their time there. They all say it was their favorite port too. I’m going to become a one woman tourist board and urge everyone to put Egypt on their itinerary. They won’t be sorry.

I had dinner with my nieces and nephew on the 6th as we continued our tradition of meeting for dinner between ports. I had some requests for photos of my Explorer nieces and nephews so I brought my camera with me. Unfortunately, one of my nieces couldn’t come to dinner so we are missing one in the photo. I’ll be sure to take a picture at our next dinner too. In the meantime, here they are from left to right: me, Lindsey, Mike, and Brigitte, missing – Julie.

I am a trip leader for an excursion around Turkey to Gallipoli, Troy, Bursa and Iznik. It’s going to be a lot of time on the bus and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we won’t have any 2:30 wake-up calls because that would be totally heinous, and just down right wrong!

We pull into port around 8:00 tomorrow but since my trip isn’t scheduled until the 8th I don’t have to worry about getting out of bed tomorrow and can sleep in until they tell us to come get our passports. Eileen and I plan to tour Istanbul in the afternoon tomorrow so I hope to have lots to share with you about it. I’m really looking forward to seeing the city.

Who's the OLD chick in the photo? And where the hell is Julie? Is "Between Egypt and Turkey" like between a rock and a hard place? If you were playing Ro-Sham-Bo, would the hard place be paper or scissors?
I'll go away now.

Old chick? Do you have a death wish? I know all of your secrets and can publish them on my blog and let the whole world know about them. Be afraid. Be very afraid!

Ok, why doesn't Bro-haa ever come to Virginia to visit you? I really need to meet him. Seeing the two of you go at each other in person would be grand entertainment!
