Back on the sea again - 9 October

We pulled out of Laem Chabang last night at 11:00. It was a rather unremarkable port so I didn’t bother to watch it. For our first day back at sea the students didn’t have classes. This was to help them get caught up on all of their readings and papers. Eileen and I let our students have the day from work too to help them out. Eileen took the first shift so I grabbed the opportunity for some extra sleep.

After lunch I relieve Eileen of duty and helped the hordes of students who flooded the library all day long. After so many ports smushed together in a short period of time, the poor dears were incredibly far behind in their studies and facing many mid-terms and papers this week. I am so happy that I am no longer a student.

I managed to find a few minutes here and there to write in my blog but for the most part, I spent the time helping students find materials for their research. I got a break at dinner and then returned to the library and worked there until we closed at 11:00. It made for a very long day that was lacking in anything blog-worthy. Sorry folks.
