Hawaii 2025

Another epic trip is about to begin! But rather than a road trip, it's going to be a cruise trip 🛳️ 

If you followed our last trip in November 2024, you saw where Terry (Thelma Lou) and I (Cora Sue) visited our 50th states. My mother (Mum/Honey Boo) visited her 49th state but still had Hawaii left for her 50th left to complete. Hence our upcoming cruise. Mum and I are flying to Vancouver tomorrow and will board the Celebrity Solstice on Sunday for an 11-day cruise to Hawaii to check off Mum's 50th state. Six days at sea and five days visiting the islands. We are very sad that Terry won't be able to join us but it's for the most beautiful reason - her granddaughter Cameron Jeanne Wolohojian was born on September 2nd. Side note: Cameron is the 5th generation to have "Jeanne" in her name. It all began with Marjorie Jeanne, then Jeanne Hartford, to Terry Jeanne, to Laura Jeanne and finally to Cameron Jeanne.  We are all madly in love with Cameron, especially her Nanny (i.e. Terry). But in honor of our last trip, we've come up with new nicknames including one for Terry, our OG traveler.  Terry is Terry-Aki, Mum is now Tiki-Boo, and I am Wai-Kiki.

Mum and I are super excited to be visiting Hawaii. I was there very briefly for about 7 hours back in 2007 when I was on the Semester at Sea ship so I'm thrilled to finally be able to spend more time there to explore and enjoy the beauty of the islands.
